Microfundamentos en la Macroeconomía

En la última semana se ha producido un interesante debate en la blogósfera sobre la microfundamentación en la macroeconomía, tema que no es necesariamente coyuntural y que seguramente veremos en los siguientes años. después de todo, la última gran revolución en la macro en los 70´s fue sobre estos microfundamentos. Por el momento les comparto algunas ligas en este debate

Krugman comparte varios argumentos de por qué no siempre es necesario hacer referencia los microfundamentos en este post: The Microfoundation Thing (Wonkish) Por ejemplo dice "Even in microeconomics, we don’t insist on using models built up from maximizing behavior all the time. Exhibit A: supply and demand! I mean, we kind of know how something like the supply and demand curves can be derived from maximizing behavior, but it’s not all that easy, and nobody, nobody, insists that you do this derivation every time."
