Hoy inicia el famoso festival en Munich conocido mundialmente como Oktoberfest. Este evento tiene su origen en la boda de Ludwig I de Bavaria con la princesa Therese de Saxe-Hildburghausen y con el tiempo se transformó en lo que hoy conocemos...un eneorme festejo en donde la cerveza es la referencia central. Durante todo el evento se llegan a vender más de 6.5 millones de litros de esta bebida.... en esta liga pueden conocer un poco más de este evento..
Pero un dato curioso en este momento en que las economías del mundo siguen luchando contra los efectos de la crisis y el fantasma de la deflación lo oferece esta nota del WSJ que sugiere que este evento puede muy bien contribuir a evitar esta deflación en Alemania..... curioso

But in the current environment, the real benefit may be to keep deflation at bay. Germany isn’t out of the woods yet; its annual economy-wide inflation rate is just 1%, well below the ECB’s target of just below 2% for the entire euro zone
It’d be even lower if not for Oktoberfest. Each liter (or Mass) of beer will cost an average of 8.65 euros ($11.25) this year, Koch estimates, up 2.5% from last year (bottled beer inflation is running just 0.3%). A broader Oktoberfest price gauge including transportation and the cost of half a grilled chicken (a basket of goods and services Koch calls the Wiesn Visitor Price Index) has jumped 4% annually since the mid-1980s, twice Germany’s rate of inflation. He expects a 3.4% WVPI increase this year.
